Cooper Kupp’s record breaking season ends with the Big Sky Offensive Player of the Year award. Kupp had 114 receptions, 1,642 yards, 14.4 yards per catch and 19 touchdowns. The Eastern Washington junior also completed two passes for two touchdowns and returned six punts for 15.7 yards per return, including a return for a touchdown against Idaho State.
Earlier this season, Kupp broke Kasey Dunn’s 24-year-old Big Sky record for catches in a career. Dunn had 268 at Idaho. Kupp has 311 and counting, still 83 shy of former Elon star Terrell Hudgins’ FCS record. Later on, Kupp broke former EWU star Eric Kimble’s decade-old record for touchdowns in a career of 46. Kupp now has 54, four shy of David Ball’s FCS record. Kupp also broke Kimble’s career receiving mark of 4,140. Kupp now has 4,704 yards, 546 yards behind Hudgins’ FCS mark.
