Montana State sophomore, Tyler Hall picked up the first Big Sky Conference weekly honor of the 2016-17 season after putting up stellar numbers in the Bobcats’ first two games of the season.

Hall, a native of Rock Island, Ill., scored 60 points in the Bobcats’ first two games of the season. In MSU’s narrow 69-65 loss at Washington State on Friday, Hall scored 32 points to go along with seven rebounds and five assists. His 32 points was the second-most scored by an MSU player in both a season opener and against a Pac-12 opponent. Hall went 7-of-15 from behind the arch and 10-of-22 from the field against the Cougars.

In Monday’s 84-83 home win over Louisiana-Lafayette, the sophomore guard scored 28 points on 8-of-15 shooting with half of his field goals coming from behind the arch. He added a pair of assists, two steals and five rebounds against the Ragin’ Cajuns. He was also perfect from the free-throw line in both games, hitting five straight at WSU and eight-in-a-row against ULL.

MSU returns to action tomorrow at home against Rocky Mountain College. Tip-off is set for 7 p.m. Mountain time and the game can be seen for free on WatchBigSky.com and on the Big Sky Conference mobile app.
