Five Bobcats and four Grizzlies landed on the Big Sky Conference’s preseason All-Conference teams.
The conference announced its preseason all-league selections, it’s preseason media polls and its preseason MVP’s at the Big Sky Kickoff in Spokane, Washington over the weekend. Montana State landed as the consensus pick to win the league voted on by both the conference’s coaches and media Saturday. Sunday, five Bobcats from the defending Big Sky champions landing on the all-conference preseason squad highlighted Sunday’s news.
Adam Jones, a Missoula Sentinel graduate who was the runner-up for FCS national freshman of the year last season, was voted the Big Sky preseason offensive MVP. He was joined on the offensive preseason all-league squad by junior offensive lineman Titan Fleishmann and junior wide receiver Taco Dowler.
MSU senior defensive tackle Paul Brott and senior defensive Kenneth Eiden also landed on the preseason squad, while Dowler also earned the nod as punt returner. Montana, who was voted second in the media poll and third by the coaches, landed four players on the preseason all-leauge team. Eli Gillman joined Jones on the first-team offense. Peyton Wing, a transfer from Portland State, was picked on the defense while Michael Worthan, a transfer from Eastern Washington, was a preseason pick at kick returner and as an all-purpose player.
