Big Sky men’s hoops tournament Day 1 – NAU races past Idaho; UNC outlasts PSU

The first day of the Big Sky Conference tournament began on Saturday March 4, 2023 from Boise, Idaho.

No. 9 Northern Arizona beat No. 10 Idaho 87-76 to advance to the quarterfinals. NAU plays top-seeded Eastern Washington at 5:30 p.m. on Sunday.

No. 8 Northern Colorado outlasted No. 7 Portland State 84-80. UNC advances to play No. 2 Montana State in a rematch of last year’s Big Sky title game at 8 p.m. on Sunday.
