OGDEN, Utah (February 16, 2017) –
 The Road to Reno keeps getting more interesting as North Dakota and Weber State both picked up wins, setting up a battle for first place in the Big Sky Conference men’s basketball standings on Saturday. Sacramento State won for the first time ever in Missoula to drop Montana into a fifth-place tie with Montana State, a winner in overtime against Portland State. 

Weber State 69, Northern Colorado 63 (click on line score for full box) — Weber State (16-8, 11-2 BSC) held off Northern Colorado (8-17, 4-10 BSC) to remain in first place in the conference standings. Senior Kyndahl Hill led the Wildcats with 19 points, including six crucial free throws down the stretch, and eight rebounds. Sophomore Zach Braxton shot 70 percent from the field to finish with 16 points and nine boards.

Jordan Davis led UNC with a game-high 21 points and six assists. Jonah Radebaugh and Chaz Glotta each chipped in 11 points.

North Dakota 77, Idaho State 61 – North Dakota (16-8, 11-3 BSC) kept pace with Weber State with a road win at Idaho State (6-20, 3-10 BSC). Senior Corey Baldwin and sophomore Geno Crandall led UND with 18 points each as five Fighting Hawks scored in double-digits. Baldwin dropped five 3-pointers while Crandall made four on the night. Crandall also came close to a double-double with nine rebounds.

Brandon Boyd posted a game-high with 19 points for ISU. Novak Topalovic added 12 points on 50 percent shooting.

Big Sky action resumes Friday as Idaho travels to Eastern Washington.
