Bobcats, Thunderbirds find themselves in unexpected positions this week

Preseason prognosticators predicted that Saturday’s matchup in Bozeman would be a showdown between a team chasing a Big Sky Conference title and a team hoping to stay in the middle portion of the league standings.

Few could have imagined that No. 20 Southern Utah would be the surging team in the hunt for its first-ever league title and that Montana State would be the unranked hosts struggling to keep its heads above water.
