OGDEN, Utah – Montana senior, Martin Breunig was named the Big Sky Conference men’s basketball Player of the Week after leading the Grizzlies to two conference road wins last week. Breunig averaged 24.5 points and 10 rebounds in Montana’s wins over Northern Colorado and North Dakota.

Breunig, a native of Leverkusen, Germany, scored a game-high 22 points and pulled down eight rebounds in the Grizzlies’ 73-66 win at Northern Colorado last Thursday. The senior hit 8-of-11 from the field and 6-of-8 from the free-throw line in the win.

The Montana forward followed Thursday’s performance with 27 points and 12 rebounds in the Grizzlies’ 65-61 win at North Dakota on Saturday. Saturday’s double-double was Breunig’s seventh of the season. His 27 points came on 12-of-16 shooting from the field and 3-of-4 from the charity stripe.
