With three consecutive wins on their record, the Montana Grizzlies will use its final home stand of the season to avenge two losses that ignited a tumble down the conference standings. The recent success has allowed the Griz to climb back up to a tie for fourth in the Big Sky Conference, but a successful weekend against Sacramento State on Thursday and Portland State two days later would go a long way toward solidifying the Grizzlies as a contender for its first Big Sky Tournament title under third-year head coach Travis DeCuire.

Montana is almost a month removed from a disappointing West Coast road trip that resulted in losses at Portland State and Sac State– the first two of a four-game losing streak — that raised a number of questions about the internal chemistry. But with consecutive wins over Montana State, Southern Utah and Northern Arizona, the feeling within in the program is that the defensive lapses and the rumors about infighting have been put in the past.
