Montana State opened the 2025 season with a 59-13 loss to No. 7 Oregon.

The 46 points is the largest margin of defeat suffered by the Bobcats since a 69-10 loss at Kansas State in 2008.

Following the loss, MSU head coach Brent Vigen along with junior WR Taco Dowler & DT Alec Eckert addressed the media.
