Montana State won in Cheney, Washington for the first time in 10 years thanks to a superb defensive effort and a run game that gained nearly 300 yards, including 217 by Isaiah Ifanse on the way to a 23-20 victory. MSU moved to 6-0 in Big Sky play, 8-1 overall with its eighth straight victory.
Following the game, head coach Brent Vigen, senior offensive tackle Lewis Kidd and junior safety Ty Okada addressed the media.
The loss is Eastern’s second straight at home, marking the first time that has occurred since 2015. EWU is now 4-2 in league play, 7-2 overall with a trip to UC Davis upcoming next week.
