Nic Sblendorio caught a pass above his head with two Bobcat defenders closing in. The Eastern Washington wide receiver made one move, split Khari Garcia and Bryce Alley and sprinted 78 yards untouched for a touchdown symbolizing the struggles that would lie ahead.

Case Cookus threw fades right over the top of Tre’Von Strong and Bryson Keeton on three different passes to set up the first of seven Northern Arizona touchdowns, confirming that the struggles were not relegated to playing EWU.

David Jones answered Dakota Prukop’s 61-yard touchdown run by sprinting to an uninhibited 79-yard touchdown of his own as Montana State’s defensive struggles began to look like a plague rather than an isolated problem.
